KATH + JOSH
Their picturesque private property nestled in the Adelaide Hills set the scene for Kath and Josh’s big day!
When we had our first site visit we were blown away by the surroundings. Leading up to the property were roads lined with country gardens, old stone buildings and orchard after orchard full of apple and pear trees.
The ceremony took place near their little cottage house, overlooking some 60 acres of wide open hills and luscious green grass farmland. What a backdrop! Hay bales made seating for their guests and a simple wine barrel was used as their signing table. We lined the aisle with our black shepherd hooks and hanging jars filled with fresh gypsophilia to tie in with the countryside scenery. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were made of fresh gypsophilia too, with fresh roses added to the bridal bouquet for that little touch of difference. Kath asked that we design a delicate headpiece and wrist corsage for her and a boutonniere for her groom.
Under a huge timber arbour that the groom built himself, this loving down to earth couple said their I do’s. Having such a big blank canvas to work with allowed us to create large scale arrangements for the arbour using fresh roses in neutral tones of ivory and white and incorporating eucalyptus from the surrounding trees to add a personal touch. Ivory draping tied in with the theme and brought this arrangement together.
Thank you to Alice Healy for these beautiful images, and a BIG thank you to Kath and Josh for allowing us to be a part of your special day and for giving us your full trust in designing and styling all the florals for your wedding day. We couldn’t be happier for you both and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! x
